Ingredients:
1 lg. pita bread
3 Tbs. basil pesto
3-4 slices tomato
3-4 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese
olive oil
fresh basil, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Brush both side of pita bread with olive oil
- Place pita, flat side up, on cookie sheet or pizza stone. Spread a thin layer of pesto, then sliced tomatoes and top each with a slice of fresh mozzarella.
- Bake 12 – 15 min. Sprinkle chopped fresh basil and shredded fresh mozzarella on top.
- Note: any kind of meat, sauce or vegetables can be made into a “Pita Pizza”!
